In January, we elected three new elders to serve on the Session of Jenkins Cumberland Presbyterian Church. We are excited to announce that Rod Hardy, Galen Riggs, and Sandra Young will be serving our church for the next three years. We asked them a few questions about themselves so that you could get to know them better. First up is Galen Riggs!
1. Do you have any hobbies?
Galen: I enjoy working in my shop, sometimes with wood but mostly working with metal.
2. What is your favorite bible verse?
Galen: There are many that I might consider favorites but Matthew 28:6, “He is not here: for He is risen, as He said.”, is certainly one of my top choices.
3. What is your favorite place on earth?
Galen: The old family farm in Arkansas. There are many good memories from times I spent there with family.
4. What is the most rewarding experience in your life?
Galen: Spending 40 years with a wonderful wife and 33 years with my son.
