I am Rev. Jason Mikel and have been the pastor at Jenkins Church since April of 2016. I felt called to this church because of their great desire to see the Kingdom of God lived out day to day. I am thrilled that so many of our church reach outside the walls of the building and live out the good news of Jesus Christ. It is an exciting place to serve!

I am a second-career pastor, who worked in the business world for 20 years before accepting the call to the pulpit. Learning about God, and teaching what I learn is my passion, and I just can’t imagine having a better life than joining a congregation in that role. I thank Jenkins Church for their incredible support and love and their invitation to walk with them.

The basis for my faith, and much of my ministry, comes out of the Jesus commandment to love God and love each other. I believe that Christ came to redefine our understanding of love to include everyone that God created, which is surely sometimes a challenge, but one we accomplish through the miracle-working power of the Spirit.

I hope we have opportunity to worship, learn, and/or serve together in God’s Kingdom.
