Together we worship and serve Jesus Christ and pursue God’s will.
Searching God out is a heartbeat of the faith. Moses went to the middle of nowhere to find God. Jesus went to the Jordan River and then into the wilderness to prepare for his ministry. Paul escaped to the Arabian Desert to rethink his faith after his Damascus incident. Pursuing God is what keeps faith alive. It is always leaning forward to find God anew.
Jesus taught the Godly way of living in the world. While we believe that salvation is a gift from God that changes the heart, study of God’s word and active pursuit of its meaning in our world leads to understanding of what the change should mean if we are authentic Jesus followers.
So, at Jenkins we pursue God’s will wherever it may be knowing that if God is as good as we claim God is, then God’s will is always perfect. We should look for it.
DISCIPLESHIP
The Discipleship Ministry offers opportunities to learn how to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. From Small Group Studies on Sunday mornings, to Wednesday night Bible Studies scheduled periodically through the year, Jenkins gathers to form together a vision of discipleship. Join us and if you have an idea for a discipleship opportunity, let Bro. Jason know.
PRAYER
Prayer is a cornerstone of faith. When Jesus was in his toughest moments, he secluded himself to pray. In celebratory moments, Jesus prayed prayers of thanksgiving.
The Prayer Ministry offers opportunities to pray together in the church. We have monthly prayer focuses, weekly prayers for a rotating list of church attendees, an emergency prayer chain, prayer gatherings throughout the year, and other opportunities to pray together.
Prayer requests may be submitted by TEXT or EMAIL to JenkinsPrayer@gmail.com. These requests are shared with prayer team members for prayer during the week and the church prays for them during the Sunday morning service. Submitted names (but not details) will be published in our Sunday bulletin unless otherwise requested.
If you would like to join any of our prayer teams, please contact Elder Marie Crawford, either on Sunday morning or through the church office. And please, pray that we find new opportunities to pray as a church!

FELLOWSHIP
Because Jenkins is a small church, many of our small groups have formed organically so that everyone knows each other’s names and new names are learned with faces quickly. Jenkins offers a great place to be in fellowship. Small groups including the Lunch Bunch, the Quilters, Jenkins Choir, a dinner group that eats at restaurants, a women’s ministry that mixes service with fun in nonCovid times, the Nashville Burrito Ministry, and others all give a place to enjoy our time together at Jenkins Church. Have an idea for another reason to gather? Talk to Bro. Jason!
